District 3 residents want a city that works. We need roads that service the city, whether that's on main streets or passing through our neighborhoods. Christina will ensure that Cathedral City's interests are protected in the Palm Springs Ramon Road Bridge project. She has worked closely with colleagues on the Council and in Public Works to ensure road projects serve the areas that need the most attention.
Cathedral City is diverse and inclusive, and our city services must reflect that. Public safety is not just statistics β it's the way we serve our residents. Christina has worked closely with both the Fire and Police Chiefs to ensure our community is prepared, and that those who serve understand the unique needs of the people who live here. She is also working alongside the Council and City staff to select a location for a new multigenerational community center that will serve Cathedral City for years to come.
Christina believes that a strong community is one that is engaged in its government. Since January, she has attended more than 100 meetings, events, and conferences to engage with and learn from residents, business leaders, city staff, and government representatives. City survey data shows residents are mostly satisfied with Cathedral City, but many don't know what the city is doing on economic development, public safety, and road projects. That's why she has directed community funds toward communications outreach to ensure all residents are involved and engaged.
Making sure that housing is affordable for the people who live and work in Cathedral City is critical to its health. Christina is a member of the Coachella Valley Association of Governments' Homelessness Committee, working across the valley to connect residents to resources. She is committed to exploring visionary housing development opportunities that integrate affordable housing alongside retail, restaurants, green spaces, and services in walkable neighborhoods that serve all residents.
Christina Gordon has a long history of service, with nearly 20 years leading communications departments in nonprofit organizations. With experience in education, workforce development, legal advocacy, and STEM, Christina brings a broad set of knowledge to the Cathedral City City Council. She started her own communications consulting business in 2025, working with companies and nonprofits to make their communications stronger and more effective.
A proud Cathedral City resident, Christina has served on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City, leading the Resource Development and Communications Committee. She currently serves on the Coachella Valley Association of Governments Homelessness Committee, representing Cathedral City. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Wittenberg University and is completing her Juris Doctor at The Colleges of Law β earning Dean's List honors in both 2023β24 and 2024β25, with her degree expected in December 2026.
Christina is passionate about public service, equity, and a really good meal β and you can often find her at the various events around Cathedral City or at one of the many restaurants in town.
